We were expecting an earth-shattering paradigm shift, or several during this eclipse season, were we not?

Well, we might just have the first! And if it’s true it will completely rewrite human history, and potentially divert our path into the future!

Several articles this year I’ve talked about big reveals of hidden knowledge and dissolution of prior beliefs, such as Pluto’s switch from Capricorn (the system) to Aquarius (the future), and speculated that dreamy, esoteric Neptune’s last drowning moments in Pisces (consciousness) could wash up evidence of our previous Atlantean history onto our shores.

The day after the 14^th March lunar eclipse last week, on the very Ides of March, a group of Italian scientists (of course!) gave a two-day conference revealing findings of a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) doppler tomography on the Khafre pyramid - the middle one on the Giza Plateau.

The Ancient History Facebook page reported that they have apparently discovered “Five massive structures near the base of the pyramid, connected by geometric passageways, each containing 5 horizontal levels and sloped roofs.

Beneath these lie 8 vertical cylindrical wells, hollow and encircled by spiral descents — dropping 648 meters into the earth.

These cylinders converge into two massive underground cubes, each about 80 meters per side — forming part of a system that includes two kilometers of space beneath all three pyramids on the plateau.

This isn’t just a void. It’s a designed, functional underground complex.”

Jahannah James (@funnyoldeworld) was one of the first to break the news on her Instagram after being given information gathered by US YouTuber and ancient history enthusiast Trevor Grassi who had attended the conference in Italy last weekend, and who had been permitted to share initial findings by the team of Corrado Malanga, from University of Pisa and Filippe Biondi. Some additional material has been released by their colleague Nicole Ciccolo. (Unfortunately, most of this is currently, only available in Italian.)

What James and Grassi have at the moment, is the abstract of a paper that will apparently be published by the Italian team in the next few days.

The concept of structures and tunnels underneath the pyramid complex is not exactly wild, either. Several years ago, researchers uncovered a jumbo jet-sized void in the King’s Chamber and there are tunnels and shafts all over the Giza Plateau.

But what is the innovative tech behind this insane discovery?

The SAR technology scans underground structures without needing access to the sites themselves, and this is crucial because they would never have been allowed to do this by the Egyptian authorities.

Filippe Biondi used this SAR satellite technology previously, to assess geological and geophysical data (eg underneath volcanoes and the like), but he developed his own software that can interpret the info received from the bounce back of a radio signal sent from the satellite, and measure the response - like a doppler effect. From that, it can detect the parameters of spaces or structures beneath what is visible, and it is then possible to construct a 3d image.

If these images supplied by Malanga & Biondi are correct representations, and do indeed reveal massive structures beneath the pyramids, then we can finally all conclude that no, these were not tombs. And neither were they built by the Dynastic Egyptians, who simply did not have the technological engineering know-how. (Copper chisels? I think not!)

It might perhaps lend credibility to the idea that the pyramids were originally constructed as some kind of power generator. Many people as far back as Nikola Tesla have popularised this theory, and Grassi confirmed that Christopher Dunn, author of ‘Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt’ and ‘The Giza Power Plant’ has been in touch with the team.

Before we get too excited about the potential great leap forward in human consciousness that might come if the world’s population, en masse, fully understood our collective past, you can bet that the Egyptian authorities, mainstream archeology, and just about every other ‘mainstream’ whatever will be raining on this parade with every ounce of miserable drizzle they can muster.

The team is already being smeared on social media, and I’ve noticed legions of bot posts on many social channels, pouring scorn on the very notion that this is anything more than a crackpot wheeze. Some of the team might seem pretty easy targets given their interest in the esoteric and some more juicy claims (“we have discovered the Halls of Amenti”) coming from the Malanga camp, there is a photo of Nicole Ciccolo dressed up as an Egyptian Princess and the ‘P’ word has been mentioned. (That’s portal!)

But when, not if, the discovery of our pre-existing advanced civilisation is made, it will likely be the esotericists, journalists, enthusiasts, and ‘crack-pots’ who do it. Because those in traditional academia seem too risk averse, too invested in the existing narrative, or too bought and paid for, to bother.

The Biondi, Melanga team carried out SAR work previously on a huge void beneath the Great Pyramid and released a paper in 2022, through a team at the University of Strathclyde, which was largely ignored by everyone outside of YouTube and Tiktok land. This shows how despite something being completely scientific, published, and peer-reviewed - it can still be squashed if there is enough (bad) will to do so.

Since the news broke there has been an incredible response and lots of people (myself included) getting slightly carried away with it all.

What’s the big deal?

WHATS THE BIG DEAL??!?!?! Well, it would confirm the advanced civilisation theory and catastrophe theory espoused by Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson, amongst others, has stone cold bona fide legs.

It would also confirm many esoteric beliefs derived from the ancient hermetic tradition, a belief system that informed many of the European secret societies, and ‘gatekeepers’ of occult knowledge (like the Freemasons) through to the turn of the century ‘New Age’ movement and Theosophists. Not to mention lending credence to the work of Twentieth-century mystics as diverse as CG. Jung, Rudolf Steiner, Aleister Crowley, and Edgar Cayce. The latter saw an underground hall of records, buried under the Sphinx (also on the Giza Plateau) in his many visions.

For centuries occultists have speculated about the mythical character of Thoth – the Egyptian (or survivor of Atlantis) who may or may not have committed some essential knowledge onto Emerald Tablets which could be underneath the Giza Plateau. (There will be a deeper dive coming on this subject soon, I promise!)

And what are the Halls of Amenti, you might ask? They are a fabled repository of knowledge, healing, and initiation rituals thought to be a bridge between physical existence and higher consciousness.

And of course modern-day mystics are all over it. In the footsteps of the ‘Sleeping Prophet’ Edgar Cayce comes UFO experiencer Chris Bledsoe, who came to the fore recently after having visions of a figure known as ‘The Lady.’ who tipped him off that this underground hall of records, and the secrets of human history will be discovered, underneath the Sphinx by Easter 2026.

Now this might sound, to the sceptical mind, like a load of old baloney, but Bledsoe and his predictions have attracted interest from the CIA and NASA, whom he has managed to impress with the accuracy of his ‘prophecies’. (N.B. I appreciate that the CIA and NASA are not the most reputable organisations given their history, but it lends some credibility that he is, in some way, a significant figure in this story.)

Interestingly enough, the Biondi / Melanga team intend to SAR scan the rest of the Giza plateau, including what’s underneath the Sphinx within the next year. (YAY!)

So, y’know - it’s all coming together really nicely, isn’t it?!

From an astrological perspective, we’ve mused on the impact of Pluto and Neptune, and yet it strikes me that this kind of discovery could be a Uranian shock to the system. Particularly as it closes out its journey in Taurus (earth) and Uranus represents innovation, electricity (are they power plants), and of course revolution.

Another thing to ponder: IF this software has accurately depicted what lies beneath (and presumably this can be scientifically tested, using other known underground structures), then the tech truly is an amazing scientific and archeological game-changer.

Unlike LiDAR which does something similar using laser technology but requires logistics like planes or drones to scan large areas, SAR can be used from the comfort of one’s armchair, thousands of miles away. It would be the ultimate democratic archeological tool for anyone. Like a Google Earth for nosey underground history hunters.

And this is what is both mind-blowing and for those in certain quarters, utterly terrifying.

Imagine not only being able to scan underneath the Sahara Desert (are you there Atlantis?) or Gudun Padang, but also Antarctica (aliens & Nazis) Mount Shasta (cryptoids & interdimensionals) to every secret military base in the world, Denver Airport, The Playboy Mansion, and Getty Museum. (Ewww.)

We could in one fell swoop prove or disprove almost all aspects of esoteric, pre-historical, alt-archeological hypotheses AND every juicy conspiracy theory that involves dodgy stuff happening underground -which is most of them, to be honest.

What a time to be alive!

But, let’s get carried away and wait and see the outcome of this soon-to-be published paper.

We knew that March 2025 was potentially the end of one era and the start of another. Perhaps the hype was on the money, and this discovery could be the catalyst for the whole new world that astrologers and new-age philosophers have promised us for decades.

After all, when we can truly see what lies beneath, what is there left to hide?
